Delia Caderno

Born in Cuba and raised in Chicago Delia Caderno has been involved in community transformation  for over 24 years. She first became involved in community organizing as a leader in her community. In the early 1980"s she was hired by The Logan Square Neighborhood Association (LSNA) as a Community Organizer working on school, housing, safety and other community related issues. Throughout the late 1990's she worked in a variety of governmental offices, including the Office of the Governor. She is the founder of the Safe Harbor Domestic Violence Ministry in Chicago; which houses the Casa Ruth Shelter.

In 2005 she moved to Miami to do Christian Community Development where she met and married her husband Juan. They and their dog Bongo live in NW Miami.
